Last week, a student at the University of Pittsburgh died by suicide. This tragedy solidifies the reality that suicide effects everyone in all walks of life. CONTACT Pittsburgh Blog Launches!
Welcome to the blog of CONTACT Pittsburgh. CONTACT Pittsburgh offers immediate emotional support, crisis intervention and suicide prevention services through its volunteer hotline, outreach and educational programs. We're looking forward to navigating our way through the blogosphere, and we're glad you're taking a moment to see how we're doing.
Going forward, our blog will serve two objectives:
1. To establish a voice for CONTACT Pittsburgh that will distinguish the organization's presence and impact in the quickly expanding world of social media.
2. To communicate quickly and consistently with the members of our community about our services and progress, as well as our ideas and reactions to the latest developments in suicide prevention, intervention, and education.
We're really excited to discover the most effective ways to use our blog while staying on track with our objectives and adjusting them as needed. Please stay tuned!
